Connect to Charge Nebraska
Nebraska recently established itself as a state that is friendlier than most to private investment in electric vehicle (EV) charging through the passage of Legislative Bill 1317. This legislation has created a prime opportunity for private investment in the EV charging network without unfair competition from electric utilities. Charge Ahead Partnership is seeking to help businesses take advantage of this opportunity and drive the expansion of Nebraska’s EV charging network by helping connect EV charging providers and manufacturers to businesses with Nebraska locations interested in providing this service. Read on for more details how you can be a part of Connect to Charge Nebraska!
The ROFR provisions, level playing field language and opportunity to establish a “bubble” keeping out unfair utility competition included in LB 1317 make the next three-and-a-half-years an opportune time for an influx of private capital in Nebraska’s EV charging market. With this in mind, CAP is launching Connect to Charge Nebraska with the goal of driving private investment in Nebraska during this window, expanding the Cornhusker State’s EV charging network and securing protection from unfair competition from utility-owned DCFC charging stations.
In order to facilitate this buildout, we are looking to help connect EV charging companies with businesses in Nebraska interested in offering fast EV charging services at their sites or location. The central element in the program is the development of a list that will help those active or interested in entering this market in Nebraska to find potential partners and make their EV charging goals a reality. The list will include information on participants’ business model, services offered and what they would be looking for in potential partners to ensure that it is easy for compatible partnerships to be identified.
If you are active in the EV charging market in Nebraska or would like to get into this market in Nebraska, and want to be included on this list, please fill out the form below.
Once we have compiled a strong list of companies interested in doing business in Nebraska we plan to make the list available for a nominal fee to cover the cost of the program. There is no obligation to purchase the list in order to be included on it. If you have any questions about the list, purchasing it or any other elements of this program please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
